I've made some changes to the main skin. You'll probably have to do ctrl + f5 to update your cache.

Feedback welcome!

Hovering the links at the top of the page in the menu bar brings a box behind all the options except sign out

Layout looks better with the moves you made over the weekend, prefer the new footer text colour too. Not 100% on the main colour of the forum topics going from blue to red though - the blue was a bit of a contrast being a darker colour

Yeah kwym about the link colour, spent a good two hours on that 'un yesterday. Wanted to get away from the standard IPB blue, though, it does provide a good contrast as you say.

Red is a hard colour to work with. Its opposite, green, is not workable and stuff like grey and pink only work well with it.

In contrast the uk-audis colour scheme blue and orange gives loads of possibilities.

The links need to be darker I think , comparing the forum page to the pages one which is still showingh in blue and the blue is lots easier on the eye. I found the red a bit eye strain enducing. How about a dark shade of grey?

Yeah the way the box is constrained by the padding setting causes the top edge not to align with the top bar. Could do with taking an extra 1px from the bottom to make it look uniform tbh!

Will play with the link colours later ;)

Are the icon backgrounds normally transparrent by any chance, you could always take a copy of the standard state icon and re-colour it to red and use that as a hover state icon

That'll be a pig to change those icons, don't have the source for messages or profile.

Strange thing is on Chrome the box expands to the right size...

Anyway can visit that at another point, need to sort the link colours out first!

That's loads easier on the eyes, I know it looks alot like the old site but like you say there aren't that many colour combinations to go with the red.

Like the overall look there ;)

Not sure if this will be any help or not Mark

http://community.inv...fireworks-pngs/

I can't check what's in it as you need a license to download it.

There is also a graphic development kit for Kolobok's
